MANILA, Philippines, XX April 2025 – Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC), a trusted leader in home and enterprise solutions, is taking bold steps toward environmental stewardship by transitioning its Alabang facility to renewable energy. Through a strategic partnership with ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES), CIC will now source its power needs from clean energy, reinforcing its commitment to creating a sustainable future for Filipino communities and businesses.

To mark this transition, ACEN RES awarded CIC the “Powered by Renewable Energy” badge—an exclusive seal granted to businesses and institutions that have shifted to renewable energy supply through ACEN RES. As the first of its kind in the Philippines, the badge is a mark of distinction for companies committed to sustainability. The badge turnover and ceremonial switch-on were held consecutively at CIC’s Alabang facility, highlighting this milestone and CIC’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and advancing environmentally responsible business practices.

Building on its previous efforts, including harnessing solar power at its Cabuyao manufacturing facility since 2018, CIC continues to lead by example in integrating eco-friendly practices into its operations and products. From using environment-friendly refrigerants to adopting inverter technology that reduces energy consumption, CIC has consistently demonstrated its dedication to reducing its carbon footprint.

“Climate Change is no longer a distant threat but an urgent global reality. And businesses like ours have both the responsibility and the opportunity to be part of the solution,” said Rafael C. Hechanova Jr., Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of CIC. “Our partnership with ACEN RES is not just about powering our facilities—it’s about empowering a cleaner, greener Philippines. By making this transition, we aim to inspire other organizations to take meaningful action toward sustainability.”

By shifting to renewable energy, CIC not only enhances energy efficiency, supports long-term cost savings, and builds resilience in an increasingly dynamic and environmentally-conscious world, but also leads by example in demonstrating how businesses can align profitability with environmental responsibility.

This partnership with ACEN RES showcases CIC’s proactive approach to integrating sustainability into its core operations, setting a tangible benchmark for other companies in the Philippines to follow.
