Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company has been recognized as a champion for environmental stewardship, earning the Gawad Kabalikat sa Kapaligiran 2025 from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB). The award was presented on February 26 at Luxent Hotel in Quezon City. CCAC EH&S Managers Warren Magtoto and Jomel Abalos accepted the recognition on behalf of the company.

The Gawad Kabalikat sa Kapaligiran is awarded to organizations that actively support environmental protection and sustainability initiatives. It recognizes institutions that demonstrate compliance, responsible practices, and measurable contributions to environmental management. Being acknowledged by the DENR-EMB highlights CCAC’s continued efforts to align its operations and products with national and global environmental standards.

One of the key initiatives cited is the company’s transition away from ozone-depleting refrigerant R22 to more environmentally responsible alternatives such as R410A and R32. These refrigerants have a lower environmental impact and support broader efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. By promoting and mainstreaming these alternatives in the local market, CCAC contributes to the Philippines’ climate and sustainability goals.

This recognition reflects CCAC’s commitment to responsible business practices and to delivering cooling solutions that support both customer needs and environmental protection.
