Last February 3, the Hiraya gallery at Museo Pambata Foundation officially reopened, welcoming children back into a refreshed space dedicated to imagination and creative learning.

Through CIC’s ongoing partnership with Museo Pambata, we are honored to support initiatives that encourage creative learning and community participation. The refreshed Hiraya Room, thoughtfully cooled by Carrier, now offers a new level of comfort, helping ensure a conducive environment where children can explore, build, and express themselves freely.

Museo Pambata’s mission to nurture Filipino children’s curiosity and creativity, through interactive learning, is one we proudly share. 

The gallery reopened with Dwellings, a large-scale participatory installation by internationally acclaimed husband-and-wife artist duo Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan. Designed as a two-year presentation, the exhibit invites children to reflect on the idea of “home.”

Using recycled carton scraps and simple materials, children create their own “dream dwellings,” such as miniature houses, boats, trees, and imagined structures that represent what home and belonging mean to them. Each piece becomes part of a growing, collective city shaped by young imaginations.

The reopening of Hiraya is more than just the return of a gallery. It is a renewed space for creativity, collaboration, and shared stories, one where every Filipino child’s imagination is given room to grow.
